CONCERT BLACK CLOTHES

In addition to all of the issues discussed before, musicians have extra and often quite specific rules to which they must adhere regarding concert attire.  We have to obey the orchestra board's requirements as to sleeve length, skirt/pant length and width, and even type of fabric.  We need to be able to sit comfortably for long periods of time, and of course be able to play in it.

I have spent a lifetime searching (often in vain) for concert black clothes that both meet the requirements and that I like. It's a lot harder that one might think.  It's next to impossible to find a black dress with sleeves in a nice fabric that has any style to it at all.  Or one that doesn't have sequins, or a slit, or is too short or too low-cut to turn pages without flashing the audience.  The list goes on.

My mission here is to bring some concert attire options for musicians who desire something new.  Anyone can of course buy/wear these.  It's also a "safe place" for musicians.  All outfits will have been fully auditioned by actual musicians before I put anything up here.
