This jacket will get you so many comments, seriously. It's a bit of a love/hate, with overwhelmingly the former, but there's always someone. (sigh)
It's fitted kind of where one would call the empire waist, has a squared-off-ish shoulder line,  and the  scultural "platypus tail" in back. 
I know in the photos the brown one looks like two completely different colors. In reality, it is just about in the middle of what's shown. Not as caramelly as the first ones, and not as dark as the outdoor ones. It's regular ol' treebark brown.
Worn here by me with a denim skirt by Marc Jacobs, amazing Chloe boots, and the upcoming Elbow Patch Blouse. 
It's great on its own as well, no need for anything under it. The Platypus goes with jeans, wide-legged pants, A-line skirts, etc. It does not pair well with the Origami Skirt though. Just sayin'.
The brown one has a mustard-y gold zipper and the black has a black zipper. 
 
Dry-cleaning is recommended. Mostly I just wipe off whatever I spill on mine. But if something major happened, I'd take it on in.
